I have been working on this production for a couple of months. This is a production of a new play and I found the script to be very exciting and rehearsal last week brought forth all of the things the creative team had discussed. Today it really all starts to come together for a Wednesday opening and a two week limited run on Theatre Row. Hopefully some producers/investors will find the material as compelling as I have.
The Facebook page describes the piece as “A quintessential Hollywood story with a distinct New York bite …Another Man’s Poison is full of pointed humor, straightforward drama, and feeds our incessant desire to peer into the “making of a celebrity.” I think that is accurate, but I was flattered when Passion, the director added part of my conceptual approach to the postcard; “Nothing is as it seems.” The line did not make it on the program cover above. I think the two comments together give a pretty round verbal picture.
Of course, I’m not going to give much more away, you have to come see the show. Links for tix are on the Facebook page.
Looking forward to seeing this all come together. My work is very simple, but there are a number of projections…and, of course, mirrors.
