I saw this post this morning at dezeen, always a great source of inspiration. This is the Doride Lamp designed by Karim Rashid and produced by the Italian lighting company Artemide. I have always loved Artimede’s signature and 80’s icon the Tizio Lamp.

I wonder if the Doride will generate less heat. The Doride can be dimmed, but they do not tell us the light source.

In any event, this is a lovely piece that I would like to see in person. I hope that it is manufactured as well as it has been designed.
